A Major Signing for the WSL Side Schüller, who has half a year remaining on her deal, has been a consistent goalscorer for both club and country. Having netted over 100 goals for Bayern and found the net 54 times in 82 appearances for her country. This signing will be seen as a marquee signing for the Women’s Super League side. Her exit from Bayern has been anticipated after she was seen fighting back tears while applauding the club's fans following a victory over Bayer Leverkusen this month. It was reported in December that the German women's top flight was set to lose one of its top forwards. Per multiple sources, all the paperwork for the move are now finalised. Reliable Goalscoring to Strengthen United's Forward Line The 28-year-old’s arrival is expected to provide a major uplift to the team's forward line. Schüller has been highly consistent in front of goal in Germany’s top flight. Over seven consecutive seasons, up to and including the most recent campaign, she reached at least a double-digit tally of league goals. She claimed the Golden Boot in 2021-22 season with 16 goals. Building Steam at Old Trafford Securing the German international coincides with a period when United seem to be gathering momentum. Recent on-pitch successes include qualifying for the European knockout phase playoffs in a seeded position and a win in the Conti Cup quarter-finals. Off the pitch, the mid-season window has brought additional business: The signing of Sweden right-back Hanna Lundkvist on a three-and-a-half-year deal. The new deal for Japanese midfielder Hinata Miyazawa, a fan favourite since joining in 2023. Regarding Miyazawa’s extension, a senior figure commented: “She has become a vital part to the way we play.
